I don’t know if I necessarily believe in New Year’s resolutions, At a fundamental level people are incapable of change. You are who you are. Now, I’m not being a pessimist. But if you make all these resolutions to change things about yourself, then you’re not being yourself since actions and behavior define personality. Does that make any sense? I feel like American’s are addicted to self improvement. Which is fine, I mean shouldn’t people be striving to be the best they can be? But it seems that if you wanted to do something different, you’d already be doing that. I read this tip about forming habits. If you do something for 28 days straight it will become a habit.
Here is my list of habits I would like to develop:
Playing guitar for 15 minutes a day.
Posting a new doodle once a week.
Taking my vitamins.
Hm, I can’t really think of anything else that I might actually stick to. I’m already regretting posting the Vitamin one. Eck, I don’t like how they taste. I was so good about taking the Flintstone Gummies but my friend said they were crap and all sugar so I caved and bought the grown up ones that look like a horse pill.
